Job Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Site Management: Manage all site work related to civil construction, plumbing, electrical, finishing, and other key areas for warehouse construction, including:
- Civil Construction: Oversee, Survey, Layouts, structural work, PEB work and concrete works.
- Finishing: Manage Plaster work, Tiles work, flooring, painting and other aesthetic and functional finishes.
- MEP: Ensure proper installation of water supply, drainage, and sewage systems. Supervise electrical installations, wiring, and safety systems (e.g., fire alarms).
- Additional Warehouse-Specific Work: Internal Road (CC, BC & Interlocking) Loading/unloading bay setups, HVAC systems, and fire safety infrastructure (e.g., sprinklers, hydrants, Way bridge).
- Project Drawing Analysis: Study and interpret all project drawings, including architectural, structural, MEP, and finishing, ensuring readiness for execution.
- Coordination:
- Collaborate with external consultants and contractors and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Work closely with the management team to finalize architectural layouts, submission drawings, structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and finishing drawings.
- Facilitate coordination between external consultants and the execution team to resolve on-site issues promptly.
- Pre-Execution Site Oversight: Manage day-to-day activities at the site during the pre-execution stage to ensure smooth preparation.
- Daily Site Supervision: Oversee daily site operations, supervise execution, and resolve site-related issues to maintain project momentum.
- Drawing MIS Management: Maintain a Management Information System (MIS) for drawing records, covering schematic layouts, design development, tender drawings, and VFC (Verified for Construction) drawings.
- BOQ and Quantity Review: Review and provide feedback on Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and quantities submitted by consultants to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Vendor Quote Analysis: Prepare comparative analyses of quotes from vendors to facilitate contract finalization, ensuring cost efficiency.
- VFC Drawing Tracking: Track requirements for VFC drawings (architectural, structural, MEP) and coordinate with consultants to ensure timely issuance as per the agreed schedule.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality work from appointed vendors, adhering to FWS standards for warehouse construction.
- EHS Compliance: Implement Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices seamlessly at the site to ensure a safe working environment.
- Daily Planning and Reporting: Plan and execute construction activities daily, submitting MIS reports via ERP to management, ensuring transparency and progress tracking.
- Material and Store Management: Oversee construction material and store management, providing daily MIS reports to optimize inventory and reduce waste.
- Labor Management: Manage manpower and labor on a daily basis, ensuring efficient allocation and productivity.
- Project Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress against the overall schedule, ensuring timely completion within budget while maintaining quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage on-site teams, ensuring effective collaboration, timely reporting, and adherence to project timelines.
- Ownership and Accountability: Take full ownership of the project, ensuring it is completed under budget and within timelines, while maintaining high-quality standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in civil construction work for Industrial, residential or commercial buildings.
- Experience in warehouse construction is an added advantage, aligning with FWS’s focus on logistics infrastructure.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing and design work.
- Strong knowledge of Excel/MS project for reporting and data management.
- Familiarity with civil construction software such as Primavera (for project scheduling), STAAD.Pro (for structural analysis), or Revit (for BIM modeling) is a plus.
- Key Attributes:
- Self-driven and motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Hands-on, willing to take ownership of the project and lead by example.
- Strong team-handling skills, capable of managing diverse teams and ensuring collaboration.
- Logistical Requirement:
- Must have own transport for commuting to and managing site operations in Punjab.

- Prior experience in warehouse construction projects, understanding specific requirements like racking systems, loading bays, and fire safety infrastructure.
